Hélène works on our French language and cultural training courses in particular.

She has worked with many different types of client; with all levels of staff and in all sectors of activity.

She started her career as a recruitment specialist for high level staff, and subsequently decided to move into the field of languages.

Her experience of the world of French business is especially interesting for those who wish to understand French business culture.

She also speaks English and Spanish.

Matti Matero

Matti Matero is our business advisor. He can advise on internationalization, start-up and business development.

He has wide experience of working on a pan-European scale and has worked in the private sector and also in the public sector as a teacher and in the field of regional development and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises. As well as his work with us, he is currently working in the private sector in business development for a small group of start-up companies.

We have been working with Matti for four years. He can advise on all of our range of services from consultancy and training to translation.

Matti is our key contact person in Finland for Finnish speakers.

As well as fluent English, he also speaks some Swedish and of course Finnish, his mother tongue.

Luca Coppo

Luca is our main trainer for the Italian language and culture.

He has had an international real estate business for many years, and has also been involved in professional training.

His clear understanding of the difficulties foreigners have with speaking Italian comes from his long experience with other nationalities both European and worldwide.

Luca's close contacts with the business world also allow him to teach business skills, and to give many insights into the culture of Italian companies and businesspeople.

He speaks fluent English, and some French.

Matthew Thomson

Has been in English language training for 19 years. Worked in Japan for 9 years with many well-known Japanese companies where he acquired first-hand experience of Asian business culture.

Most recently he worked in France for 3 years on total immersion courses.

Matthew’s background in international sales gives him a particular insight into the needs of those in business.

Having worked and lived all over the world, his experience of global cultures (Asia, India and Australia as well as Europe) is invaluable to those communicating with foreign contacts.

As well as English, he speaks fluent Japanese, Spanish and French.

Juliette Scott

Has been a business language and internationalization specialist for 17 years. She set up and ran a language school in France specializing in total immersion courses for 13 years, and has now expanded her activities to work all over Europe.

She has also carried out language audits and a range of consultancy activities.

Prior to her language activities, Juliette was head of production in a commercial publishing house, where she had considerable experience in negotiations and finance.

She has been an examiner for the French Chamber of Commerce professional examinations in English, has run a TOEIC testing centre and participated in producing a CD-ROM to prepare the GCSE French examination.

She speaks English, French and Italian, has translated 24 books, is an approved court translator and in addition to her training activities has carried out interpreting assignments for corporate clients, governments and the European Commission.

Juliette lived in the UK for 24 years, in France for 16 years and has lived in Italy since March 2006.

Is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Linguists.
